Pollution Control

Dry Scrubber System (Dry Sorbent Air Pollution Control Equipment)

Custom-engineered · Turnkey supply · India · UAE · Thailand

A Dry Scrubber is an air pollution control system that treats acid gases, fumes and odours in an industrial exhaust stream using a dry or semi-dry reagent instead of a circulating liquid.

Overview

About the Dry Scrubber

Because it needs no scrubbing water and produces no liquid effluent, a dry scrubber is chosen where wastewater handling is difficult, where the exhaust has to stay dry, or where the collected residue is easier to manage in solid form. It is the dry counterpart to the wet scrubber, and ART Mechatronics engineers both so that the right method is matched to the gas stream, the plant layout and the applicable emission norms.

How it works

Working Principle of Dry Scrubber

Polluted Gas Entry

Process exhaust carrying acid gases, fumes or odour enters the system through:

Inlet DuctGas Conditioning Section
Sorbent Injection

A dry or semi-dry reagent is metered into the gas stream by:

Sorbent Storage HopperMetering and Injection Unit

Reagent is selected to suit the gas being treated

Reaction and Contact

Sorbent and pollutants mix and react while travelling through:

Reaction ChamberContact Duct

Gaseous pollutants are converted into dry solid reaction products

Dry Separation

Reacted sorbent and dust are separated from the gas stream by:

Bag Filter ModuleCartridge Filter Module
Residue Collection

Separated solids are discharged into:

HopperRotary AirlockCollection Bin

Residue is handled dry, so no scrubbing effluent is generated

Clean Gas Discharge

Treated gas is drawn out and released to atmosphere through:

Induced Draft BlowerDischarge Stack

Supports pollution control compliance

Types of Dry Scrubbers

Dry Sorbent Injection System
Powdered reagent injected into the ductCompact arrangement for retrofits
Semi-Dry (Spray Absorber) Scrubber
Reagent slurry atomised into the gasResidue still leaves as a dry solid
Dry Bed / Media Scrubber
Gas passes through a packed dry media bedUsed for odour and trace gas control
Combined Dry Scrubber and Bag Filter Unit
Reaction and filtration in one package
Multi-Stage Dry Scrubbing System
For mixed or difficult gas streams
