Stone Crushing & Aggregate Plant Machinery Solutions
Stone processing reduces quarried rock into graded aggregate for concrete, roads and railway ballast. Blasted stone is fed to a primary crusher, reduced further in secondary and tertiary stages, screened into commercial sizes, washed where a clean product is required, and stockpiled for loading.
Complete Process Flow
Blasted rock is tipped into a feed hopper and drawn forward onto the primary crusher, which brings the largest lumps down to a size the plant can carry. A grizzly feeder separates the fines ahead of the crusher so they are not crushed again.
Crushed stone passes through further stages that reduce it towards the sizes actually sold and improve the particle shape. Oversize returns to the crusher in a closed circuit.
The crushed product is screened into the graded aggregate sizes used for concrete, road layers and ballast. Each fraction leaves the screen on its own conveyor to its own stockpile.
Where a clean aggregate is specified, the stone is washed to take crusher dust and clay coating off the surface. Wash water is settled before it is reused.
Finished fractions are stacked in separate stockpiles and reclaimed for loading into tippers. Telescopic conveyors build the piles without extra handling by loader.
Crushing and screening throw dust into the air, so transfer points are enclosed and vented and water sprays are used at the crusher. Collected dust joins the fines stockpile.
