Paper Towel Converting Plant & Machinery Solutions

Parent reels of tissue are moved from store and loaded onto the converting line. Reels are lifted between floors and fed in on roller and telescopic conveyor.

Webs from two or more unwinds are embossed and bonded together, perforated to the sheet length, and rewound into logs or folded into interleaved stacks. Line speed and web tension are held from the central control system.

Rewound logs are cut across into finished roll widths, counted and stacked, and out-of-spec rolls are pushed off the line.

Edge trim, log ends and reject paper are drawn away in an extraction duct, separated from the air, shredded and pressed into bales for recycling.

Rolls or folded stacks are counted into packs and wrapped in film, either flow wrapped or shrink wrapped through a heat tunnel.

Packs are date coded, checkweighed and packed into cases or master cartons by robot.

Cases are stacked onto pallets, wrapped and moved out to loading.
