Eraser Manufacturing Plant & Machinery Solutions
Eraser manufacturing blends synthetic rubber or vinyl compound with mineral filler, a mild abrasive and pigment, forms the blend into slabs or extruded strip, and cuts it into individual erasers that are trimmed, sleeved in printed card and packed.
Complete Eraser Process Flow
Mineral filler, abrasive and pigment are tipped from sacks, screened and conveyed to the mixing floor. Screening removes lumps that would otherwise show as hard spots in the finished eraser.
Rubber or vinyl, plasticiser, filler, abrasive and pigment are weighed to recipe and mixed into a uniform compound. Colour and abrasive distribution are set here and cannot be corrected further down the line.
The compound is extruded as strip or rolled into slabs, then cooled so it becomes firm enough to cut.
Slab or strip is cut into individual erasers and the edges are trimmed to the finished shape. Cutting fines are extracted at the knife so they do not mark the eraser faces.
Erasers are sleeved in printed card or wrapped, marked with brand and grade, and checked for shape and colour.
Sleeved erasers are counted into inner packs, flow-wrapped or boxed, and collated into master cartons.
