Corrugated Paper Plant & Machinery Solutions

Corrugated paper is produced by fluting one paper web with heat and steam and gluing it between kraft liners on a corrugator, giving board that is then cut, printed, slotted, die cut and folded into boxes. Trim, offcuts and paper dust come off continuously, and finished bundles are strapped, palletised and wrapped.

How it works

Complete Corrugated Paper Process Flow

Liner & Fluting Reel Handling

Kraft liner and fluting medium reels are stored and brought to the mill roll stands. Reels are lifted and positioned with handling equipment so the corrugator can be spliced without stopping.

Corrugating & Board Forming

One web is fluted between heated rolls and glued to the liners on the single facer and double backer. Steam and heat plant serve the corrugator, and the starch adhesive is prepared and held in the glue kitchen alongside it.

Cutting, Trim Extraction & Stacking

The board is slit, cross-cut and stacked at the dry end of the corrugator. Edge trim and dust are drawn off by a pneumatic system, separated from the air, and taken straight to the baler.

Printing, Slotting & Die Cutting

Sheets are printed, slotted and die cut into box blanks on the converting machines. Waste board and dust from this section are extracted at the machine and each blank is checked before it goes forward.

Folding, Joining & Bundling

Blanks are folded and joined at the manufacturer's joint by glue or wire stitching. Finished boxes are counted into bundles and strapped flat.

Palletising & Dispatch

Bundles are palletised, wrapped and loaded out to the customer's plant.
