Copier Paper Plant & Machinery Solutions
Copier paper is made by cutting jumbo paper reels into cut-size sheets on a sheeter, counting the sheets into reams, and wrapping each ream before it is boxed. Sheeting produces edge trim and paper dust, and the reams are weight checked, coded, packed into cartons and palletised for dispatch.
Complete Copier Paper Process Flow
Jumbo reels are stored and brought to the sheeter reel stands. Cut-size paper is sensitive to moisture, so the sheeting and packing halls are conditioned and dehumidified.
Reels are slit lengthways and cross-cut into sheets of the ordered cut size. Edge trim and paper dust from the cutting section are pulled away at the knives and separated before collection.
Sheets are counted and jogged into square reams. Short counts, torn sheets and misaligned stacks are picked up and taken off the line.
Each ream is wrapped and sealed in printed paper or film. The wrapped ream is coded and weight checked before it goes forward to packing.
Reams are collated and loaded into cartons, which are then palletised and wrapped for dispatch.
Trim and reject sheets collected by the extraction network are baled for return to the mill. The sheeting, wrapping and palletising sections are sequenced together from one control system.
