Cattle Feed Processing Plant & Machinery Solutions

Oil cakes, brans, husk and grain by-products arrive in bulk and in bags and are moved into segregated storage. Cattle feed uses many bulky, low-density ingredients, so handling and storage capacity shape the plant layout.

Cake lumps and cottonseed are broken down and milled, but only to a coarse texture. Ruminants need a coarser particle than poultry, so the ration is not ground to flour.

Each ground ingredient is weighed against the ration before it enters the mixer. Mineral mixture and salt are added at this stage as part of the weighed batch.

Molasses is warmed so it flows, then sprayed into the mixer along with bypass fat while the batch is turning. Molasses improves palatability and binds the dusty fraction of the ration.

The mixed ration is conditioned and pressed into pellets, which reduces wastage at the manger and stops the animal sorting the mix. Pellets are cooled and hardened before bagging.

Finished feed is filled into sacks and stitched closed. Sacks are conveyed to the vehicle for loading.
